A trip to Bali should always finish with a night of luxury. For this I chose Rimba the sister hotel to the famed Ayana Resort in Jimbaran. Guests have access to all the Ayana facilities as well as Rimba’s incredible pools.
Nusa Lembongan is a small island off the coast of Bali. We had three nights there after staying in Ubud for four nights. My reasons were choosing it were pretty simple – I wanted to go to the Gili Islands but couldn’t justify the long boat ride there and back for a three night stay. I wanted to go snorkeling and paddle boarding, and I wanted to get away from the crowds. Plus it was just a 30 minute boat ride from Sanur.
I love cooking. I love eating. The number one thing I wanted to do in Ubud, Bali was a cooking class.
I read every Tripadvisor review of every cooking class in Ubud, and then once we arrived I just abandoned all my previous thoughts and let our hotel book us into one. They chose extremely well, because we ended up with the highly rated Payuk Bali Cooking Class.
Ubud is the first place you should think of visiting on your next trip to Bali.
Occasionally I just want to win at things. Last year Jetstar had an $88 sale to Bali. I knew I could get those tickets, even though everyone on the Jetstar Facebook said they didn’t really exist. I went straight onto their app because their website was down. The app crashed between every single section of the transaction, but I eventually made it all the way through the multitude of options and received a confirmation email. Eight days in Bali in February.
